Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully as they apply to all persons browsing/purchasing from butlerblinds.co.uk/com which is a trading name for products supplied by North Notts Blinds LTD. You must read and accept all the below Terms & Conditions before buying from butlerblinds.co.uk/com. By purchasing goods from butlerblinds.co.uk/com you are accepting our Terms & Conditions from the following conclusions:

  1. Our Products:
    (a) Description and Photography 

The products we sell are digitally produced/photographed and are specifically for illustrative purposes only, therefore we cannot guarantee they accurately match images shown online. Every effort is made by us to ensure that goods supplied are accurate and match the samples we show/provide. Unfortunately due to minor material variations in colour and pattern we cannot guarantee that all materials will match digitally shown goods. Goods purchased are not entitled to be rejected, refunded or used for compensation claims for such variation and change in materials.

(b) Measurements

In every circumstance it is the customers responsibility to take measurements of the chosen window(s). You must provide accurate measurements to butlerblinds.co.uk/com for your goods. When your order is placed you will receive an email conformation, you must read this carefully as providing incorrect measurements can not be refunded or returned. Every effort on butlerblinds.co.uk/com behalf has been taken to ensure you (the customer) takes the correct measurements, we provide diagrams and videos to aid a smooth operation. As the goods we sell are made-to-measure they cannot be resold and therefore you are not entitled to a refund or return. This does not affect your statutory rights.  If you have any questions regarding measuring please contact us and we will be happy to assist you. 

(c) Made-to-Measure

Made-to-measure products are custom made to exact requirements. Once an order is placed the product is made specifically for you (the customer) and therefore cannot be cancelled, refunded or returned. Please ensure the product you are ordering is measured accurately and it is the product you want. This applies if you are not satisfied with colour/pattern of the goods, free fabric samples are available to ensure you know exactly what you are ordering. Butlerblinds.co.uk/com cannot be held responsible for inaccurate measurements and/or dislike of quality/fabric colour/pattern. This does not affect your statutory rights. We manufacture all  orders to your specification, however if you do not stipulate the installation height on your order it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure the installation is safe in accordance with the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulation 2005. We provide installation documents within the packaging to assist with this.

(d) Child Safety

We will only supply blinds which conform to the child safety requirements of BCEN13120:2009+A1:2014 (“safety codes”). 

(e) Installation Heights

The cord and chain lengths are determined by three factors:

  1. Whether the installation height is specified or not.
  2. The drop of the blind.
  3. The safety device is being used.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure all safety precautions are being taken when fitting/installing your goods/products. Butler Blinds provides a installation document and how to install the product safely. Butler Blinds are not responsible for the installation/fitting of the goods/products.

2. Order Processing:

(a) Cancellation 

 When ordering your goods you are agreeing to a legally binding contract. According to The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, made-to-measure goods e.g. blinds are excluded from the legislation and the 7 day cancellation rights do not apply. In the event a customer needs to cancel an order they may be able to do so as long as the parts and goods have not already been made. In most cases the customer can have up to 24 hours. The deadline is strictly 24 hours from when the initial order was completed on butlerblinds.co.uk/com. If an order needs to be cancelled you must telephone us immediately with the first 24 hours with your order number ready. Our telephone number can be found on our contact page. 

(b) Confirmation of your order

Once your order has been placed a confirmation email will be sent. You must read this email carefully to ensure all the measurements and overall order is accurate. You will be provided with an order number, any queries you have from then on you will use this order number to discuss your ordered goods. If the email shows any errors you must contact butlerblinds.co.uk/com immediately as any errors cannot be altered after 24 hours from your initial order.

3. Prices

Prices are calculated when you (the customer) input the correct measurements for your chosen blinds. All prices on butlerblinds.co.uk/com are inclusive of VAT. The price you pay is the price displayed on your confirmation email and the total price displayed at the checkout.

4. Payment 

All goods/products must be paid for in full before the order is processed. Butlerblinds.co.uk/com accept all major credit and debit cards, we also accept PayPal payment. Your payment method details are encrypted and secure through the payment gateway WorldPay. We keep your personal details secure with sites SSL (secure socket layer). Under no circumstances are credit/debit card details stored on our servers. 

5. Acceptance 

Butlerblinds.co.uk/com reserve the right to cancel your order if:

  1. We have insufficient stock to fulfil the required order.
  2. If you have ordered from an island or country we do not deliver too.
  3. The goods unbeknown to butlerblinds.co.uk/com have been discontinued.
  4.  A pricing/typing error has occurred due to system failure within our database or website.

If for any reason we cannot fulfil your order we will notify you as soon as possible by email. We will also refund any payment made. In no circumstances are we liable to offer you (the customer) any compensation or discount for the occurrence. 

6. Delivery Of Goods

We specify our estimated delivery time as 7-10 working days from the moment payment for the product(s) reaches our bank (this can take up to 24 hours). Our delivery times are not guaranteed therefore no compensation/discounts will be given for extended delivery time. The delivery terms that are outlined do not apply to busy periods of the year, which include:

  1. Bank Holidays
  2. Christmas Holiday

If products are ordered during these busy periods you will be updated via email of extended delivery waiting times. Goods/products will be delivered to the address specified by the customer, you will be asked to provide your address when checking out. All deliveries will be made to you by courier. Butlerblinds.co.uk/com will use its best endeavours to promptly deliver goods in accordance to the company’s delivery time. You will be notified at the time of ordering an estimated delivery date. Butlerblinds.co.uk/com are not liable for delay’s in delivery time. We advise you do not book a fitter/installer until your goods have been securely delivered by our courier, only then after checking that there are no defects and that all parts are present shall you continue to fit/install your product(s).

7. Carrier damage

In the event of carrier damage, the customer must sign for the goods as damaged and notify Butler Blinds immediately or within 24 hours. Failure to do so will result in an invalid claim for the goods. You must give Butler Blinds and the carrier company a fair chance to inspect the damaged goods.

8. Complaints

Butlerblinds.co.uk/com take customer satisfaction very seriously and are happy to deal with complaints as and when they arise. Complaints concerning product quality or for any other reason must be made within 48 hours of receiving the product and prior to installing/fitting the product. The customer is covered by the Manufactures Guarantee for 12 months from the delivery date, the complaint must be filed by the customer within 48 hours, only then will Butler Blinds arrange a courier to collect the faulty product which will then be inspected and dealt with accordingly. We reserve the right to ask for photo evidence of any damaged goods and ask for the product to be packaged and handled with care before being collected. Failure to do so could result in a replacement/refund not being honoured. Butler Blinds is not in any way responsible for the installation and/or fitting of the product by the customer or a third party. In the event of a product complaint you must notify Butler Blinds and the event will be dealt with accordingly. If the complaint is regarding pattern/colour no refund/replacement can be given. If wrong measurements have been submitted, again, this is not a case Butler Blinds are accountable for, this is the customers responsibility for taking accurate measurements. Every order is rigorously quality checked before being dispatched, therefore faults are few and far between.

9. Manufacturers Guarantee

All Butler Blinds products are covered by a 12 month guarantee from the date of delivery based on the following points:

  1. The product has not been altered/adjusted or customised in any way.
  2. The product has not been damaged by you or a third party during fitting/installing.
  3. The product order does not sit outside Butler Blinds recommended specifications.
  4. It is at Butler Blinds discretion to repair or replace any defective product either material or component. 
  5. This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights under UK Law.

10. General Terms

These Product Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English Courts. If any of these Product Terms is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in the whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Product Terms which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent by permitted by law.  

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
